Seaton_Tramway_view_to_AxmouthSeaton Tramway, one of Devon’s most popular attractions, is hosting two special bird watching trips during half term week, on Friday 18 and 19 February, from 9am-11.00am.

Accompanied by a well respected local birdwatcher, either Ian Waite or Don Cotton, passengers will travel on one of Seaton’s beautifully restored electric trams along the three mile stretch of stunning countryside. The journey will take people through two nature reserves, Seaton Marshes and Colyford Common, next to the River Axe estuary, which plays host to an ever-changing selection of birds through the seasons.

Seaton Tramway's Bird Watching Trips give exclusive access to remote parts of the valley; and people are likely to see between 30 and 50 different species of bird during the 2-hour trip. Tickets for the Bird watching trip are priced at £12.50 and places are limited so pre-booking is essential. Tickets can be booked online at www.tram.co.uk or via the ticket office, 01297 20375.

As well as the wildlife watching trips our trams will be running every day throughout half term and our Tramstop Restaurant will be serving a range of home cooked meals and snacks all day every day for people to enjoy.

“Whatever the weather you can enjoy Seaton Tramway and the wonderful journey along the historic. Why not wrap up warm and brave the elements aboard an open topped tram? Or if you’d prefer you can find a cosy seat in one of our enclosed trams. We are a great all weather venue and what better way to see the early departure of Winter and first signs of Spring.”
